The study is being led by Professor Michael Abramson from the Monash School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine , and Professor Judi Walker from the Monash School of Rural Health. The two Principal Investigators, along with two other researchers and the Project Manager, form the Project Management Group which oversees study operations.

A larger team of researchers from across Monash University, Federation University Australia, the University of Tasmania, CSIRO and the University of Adelaide has been assembled to respond to a series of key research questions outlined in the study aims. The leaders of these streams are outlined here.

Working closely with the research team are the administrative staff responsible for the day to day operations of the study. These staff work from within each of the partner organisations, including from the local project office at the Monash School of Rural Health – Latrobe Valley site at Latrobe Regional Hospital. As the study progresses, it is expected that further local personnel will be recruited as part of the research, administrative and fieldwork teams.
